Valverde the strongest rider in the race, rode his luck a bit in the finish but also showed character and experience to close out the win and hold off the bunch.

Yeah, seeing Nacer in skin tight clothes on a road stage doesn't do it for me.

Great weekend for Valverede. This does appear to be the best form he's been in ever. Might finally be a big stage race year for him.

What was Pozzovivo thinking in wheelsucking Valverde towards the end when the pelaton was charging towards them? He lost the podium ...

Stunning ride into Rome.

Apparently Boonen attacked Stybar yesterday on the final stage of Paris-Nice, I just missed it, but Sean Kelly was saying it probably was a mistake, otherwise they seem to have a good team dynamic going. If they can get Cav to the line, fine, otherwise they have a few other options.

Didn't see that, Stybar was dropped from lead group. Looking at sprinters don't count out Greipel & Kittel.

Confirmed? I thought with all the other top sprinters there Kittel would also be there.

I'm not sure he's good for that distance... but they used to say that about Cav too ;)
