milky4130 Posted February 4, 2014 Share As much as this sucks that his bike got stolen here in SA & this is no justification, I'm just just saying, this could've happen anywhere in the world but more so in the UK where Charlie is from, in fact more bikes get stolen there than in Africa. Even Jan van Riebeek complained in his diaries about theft. Unfortunately very little can be done about it. Loose cog Posted February 4, 2014 Share Sad. Whilst living in London just before the Boris (Barclays) Bike Hire scheme was introduced the locals kept steeling Boris Johnston's bike. If you don't know, Boris is the Mayor of London, yes the chap with the hair. Anyway after about the 3rd or 4th time he lost his bike he became a bit miffed and the media had a field day. It was funny. Unlike in SA his bike would turn up a few days later causing the police great embarrassment.
