This will be my first Amashova and would like to ask fellow Hubbers for views on type of wheels to use for the race. I have Shimano C50 Clinchers and 80 Tubular carbon rims, which would be the best choice for me to ride on?

Road surface is good almost all the way and the pace is generally high due to the relatively benign gradients on the climbs and lots of descending. So deep section tubbies are a common sight.

But obviously if it's windy, maybe the 50's. That will be up to you to decide.

Speaking of the weather, here is the long term weather forecast for race day. Not looking too good folks - rain and a good sized head wind. But it's still a long way off so the forecast is likely to change significantly as we get closer.

Is anyone meeting up on Saturday night for a piss up, where in PMB is the place to be?

Go to the Thistle hotel Mr Minnaars hang out.

Even the C50 were difficult to ride with last year with all that wind.

L/T weather forecast shows a slight improvement. Warm and overcast (heavy and humid for the visitors), but no rain it seems. Still forecasting quite a strong head wind though...

Thistle Hotel and Pot and Barrel  nice one, sounds like the start of a pub crawl

Seeded in A, but I may be piloting a tandem with one of my club mates - all dependent on getting a reseed to tandems.
