Claudio Posted March 25, 2014 Share Say hello to SRAM Guides. Spotted here on Velovert.com, it looks like SRAM are finally releasing a new brake to their lineup. Or are they ditching the old Elixir lineup altogether? Click here to view the article

Capricorn Posted March 25, 2014 Share is it just me, or does that lever unit look like the old Juicy range? edit: thought it looked familiar. http://www.bike198.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/juicy-5-lever.jpg Danger Dassie, Ed-Zulu and ThePubSA

Free Falling Harvey Posted March 25, 2014 Share I just bought Elixirs.......yesterday!!....... avids are simple to adjust and easy to live with - nothing to worry about here mate - learn em and love em - they're lightweight and straight forward - those new brakes IMO look fairly bulky on the bar? G e r h a r d Odendaal Posted March 26, 2014 Share These are trail brakes, dont worry avids will remain. I saw Sauser testing a new shiny version but they looked the same as the current xx brakesTacx
LazyTrailRider Posted March 28, 2014 Share Finally the Avid fans can stop defending their kit and just bin it like they've secretly wanted to do all along... Meezo
Muzzarati Posted March 28, 2014 Share I agree with Cap. That lever looks as though it's from a juicy 7.
Capricorn Posted March 28, 2014 Share I agree with Cap. That lever looks as though it's from a juicy 7. dont suppose you have a internal section view/ cut away of the Juicy range of brakes? want to see how different it is internally to the new brakes. SRAM Guide.... bit of an odd name. PB responded to a comment of mine, in which they confirmed it blows the socks off X0 Trail.NOw that is quite some statement, because frankly, the difference between XO Trails and Codes is practically zero in terms of stopping force. Capricorn Posted March 29, 2014 Share internally, it looks like Juicy brakes as well, excluding the obvious additions like reach adust, and the new cam system to change the lever 'feel'. http://www.bikerumor.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/sram-avid-xx-world-cup-brakes03-600x450.jpg
droenn Posted May 27, 2014 Share Got some Xo trails and they are absolutely wicked. How much are they going for, if I may ask? They look to be exactly what I want.
