If it's all about the rider only, the pros shouldn't have a problem competing on a BMX :whistling:

well if they are all competing on bmx's........

Yeah, it must be hard staying awake all night praying for your wheels to become 29'ers.

Hahaha there goes the beer all over my screen :lol::lol:

Its the rider not the wheels..

tall people on 650b's/26rs dont work, similar to short people on 29r's.. find your match and you can excel. Its the rider at the end of the day.

Agreed, I should probably be on 650b's but my 29ers have served me well.

I will get a 650b next year. there will be more choice and I feel its going to be the standard wheel size in future due to better strength and reliability.

For now my 26er is just great and climbs like a scalded cat

No strength or reliability issues with my 29er wheels thus fa, so I don't know why you mention issues, riding steel htail rigid fork, nada problems, not even broken spoke...as true as when it was new, Tankwa Trek, Cape Pioneer Trek (Rode with 100 mm fork here), Attakwas, mtn races. No issues. Promise. Climbs like my suntiger tarantula up any hill my legs would allow.
