Yip always a debate, but as I said some serious bike issues going forward in this race. All that fine dust will now be mud that will be in cables, etc

Must say riding these elevations and distances in the weather of '06 or '12 is one of the worst days on a bike

I really couldn't wish it on my worse enemy.

The race village is a mess, the tents are cold, your shoes don't dry out and nothing feels like you are in your comfort zone.

I think I am too much of a baby.. I can live out of my comfort zone for 2 days max... but to have to sleep in a tent where there is buggerall space on a wannabe mattress and then have to wake up 1 hr earlier to pack up is just not for me..

I wish them all good fortune but I think they are crazy and at the same time tough as nails.

"your shoes don't dry out and nothing feels like you are in your comfort zone" - sounds like another awesome day on the Freedom Trail.

Those okes are about to start racing this Thurs again in a new event. Should be an absolute cracker given the shorter course and fact that every entrant has either finished the FC or the RTR.

Interesting vid of Hermida Nothing very daunting about that track tho. What I find interesting is his shape on the bike That seat is hugely in the way forcing him very upright and straight legged at times. Also look at his heels- nowhere near down like they should be when descending Again because the seat is so high. Great skills but why oh why ride MTB descents with the seat up like a road bike? Dropper post for the win...

Hermida was passing them as if they were standing still.. incredible.

Kewlharvey nearly put his neck out, with that double take....
