And on a positive note the entry form for Berg And Bush allowed me to specify my correct shoe size so therefore they are not Sasquatch haters  Well done boys.

Quote from Kevin Vermaak:

“in May 2014 we’ll announce some radical changes to the race format. Like the riders who left Knysna for the last time in 2008, riders participating in this year’s race will be the last to experience the “old” Epic, as the race is entering its next era from 2015 onwards.”

Any wild guesses?

Until when is the finish-hosting agreement with Lourensford?

Not sure, but could that be the cause of "radical changes"? Another buddy also said that the Epic might have been sold to another company, also not sure what changes that could cause...

I was told that we would be in for big surprises in the 10th epic....still waiting for it....we were also told in 2011 that there would be mule bars at each water point.....still have yet to see a mule bar.

I feel discriminated against, when I entered the 2015 edition they asked for shoe size and mine was not there in the drop down box, why are they persocuting the big foots? We are people too.

Wait till they try to squash you into a tent....

Heavens no, I can't even begin to contemplate the horror of the tents, let alone the atrocity of the port-a-loo. I simply will have to get a premium upgrade.

Trust me on this - you won't care at the end of a stage.... that said - I also fit in a tent fairly easily...

The issue with the upgrade is really the additional travel and waiting time... which can be considerable on a daily basis, so depending on who is in your group, you may sit around for hours after finishing, and still face an hour in a vehicle.... either way....

Also you 'lose' the atmosphere a fair bit... whether that's a good or bad thing is difficult to say...

Off topic. The W2W goodie bag was a bit disappointing, although the actual BAG you got was AMAZING! As fr BergNBush the goody bag is non existant. You got a t-shirt and cap, yayness.

Sani rock dominates. They been a bit quiet this yr, wonder what is going on .

Are they not moving it to the KZN? - or did i read half a story from another post?

sounds like at least R4000 worth of stuff

Just the EVOC bag costs you R4k. Seems that although the entry fee is quite steep you do somehow get value for money
