I would prefer it a little longer and closer to 1500m climbing but hey! But don't underestimate this one, this is one of the tougher PPA mtb races around, 1226m climbing is a lot for a 46km race, and most of it is in the first 30km as the last 10 is relative flat. The route is very rocky up and down which tires you out and add the hot Breede Valley sun and your in for a tough half-marathon. Looking forward to Saturday!
