It looks like a zealous club member's lame attempt to absolve his fellow club members of responsibility.

Hello Tayyib , just to answer your question ...

On the first page of this thread, the heading reads .....

with all respect, if you wrote this at 04:05 am on the 26th April,

which is very early on Saturday morning,

you predicted the future by a few hours?

This cannot be.

The route is way off from the clubs rides route, and the time does not correspond..

I appreciate this thread for public awareness, but I believe you have the wrong group of cyclists.

The above description of riding that you witnessed, is definitely not in the club rules.

Hey Brogue ....

Did you read the response above.

I believe that you are the lame one.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can get a lab shirt without being in the club, or be a lab club member in colours and not on an official club ride and in both cases be a dickwad that breaks the law.

Calling them fake shirts was a silly thing to say guy.

Trying to stir me up hey! lol..... I was already slowing down to come to a stop when the group came past me and went through the robot. they then had a 300m lead on me when I got going again and was still able to catch the tail end of the group by the time we almost summited, so not to sour! specially considering they were all on road bikes and I was on a dual sus 26'! :whistling:

You should be on the tracks dude!

MUCH, emoticons make all the difference especially if the comment has potential to be misunderstood.

That said, I still think it was Cyclelab members that rolled over the red light :D. Good attempt to defend your club mates though

If rolling through red lights is official cyclelab policy they need to speak to the Boksburg bunch, i did a ride with them last Saturday and we stopped at every red light.

Funny. I've had just the opposite experience with them. And that was with guys wearing lab "marshall" labelled shirts.

Not stopping at a red light in Boksberg is punishable by a receiptless R50 cash spot fine, those metro cops dudes are ruthless when it comes to financing their klippies and coke

Hello Brogue.

Thanks for the compliment, I am a stand-up kinda guy.

However, they were not my club mates as the times and location do not correspond.

Hang on.

You know where all the lab members are at all times?

Fark me! The illuminati aint got **** on you lot.

Hello Cellar.

I do know where the CycleLab members are on saturday mornings, and on which routes too.

Its not that difficult when you are in well organised groups.

However, this incident occurred away from our usual routes, on a different day.

The carnage on our roads is not as a result of cyclists skipping red lights.

Percentage of road deaths caused by cyclists = 0%

Percentage of road deaths caused by motorists, truckers and motor cyclists = 100%

Then it must be true... because there is no way in which to could have been on any other road... impossible. As it was saturday. And the will spontaneously combust if they were to change their route or ride over red traffic lights...
