Albasini beats Lopez and Navardauskas for 1st stage honours. Tommy Voeckler in 10th.

 

Good couple of days for the boys from OGE.

Albasini beats Lopez Hurel and Navardauskas Nizzolo for 1st 2nd stage honours. Tommy Voeckler in 10th. 90th.

 

Good couple few of days for the boys from OGE.

 

Bit like ground hog day... Amended from yesterday for today.

 

Schurter in 19th on the stage and Albasini takes the overall lead.

Yeah, was much more fun watching CAvendish get out sprinted in Turkey...not often someone rides around Cavendish

Tomorrows mountain stage should be interesting provided its not cut short. The weather is saying the snow fall line will be down +/- 1600m tomorrow and the highest they climb is just below 1500m. Hopefully the afternoon it clears a bit...

Of all the GC big names, Nibali has to be the most concerning this year. He’s done nothing of any significance in any race he's entered, except for that brief cameo on the Poggio.

 

Besides that, what has he done? Today was another 'attack' that just fizzled, with riders of lesser reputation just riding past him up the hill.

 

For the sake of a proper honest battle at the TDF I hope that it's just because he's using these races as part of some hard training blocks for July.

 

If not, then I'd be concerned.

Met him whilst training in Stellenbosch a few months ago.
