Fashion advice guys .... should I leave the outers from bars to frame black rather and then make the on the frame ones white?

OK having looked at the bike in daylight there is actually so little on the frame and where it goes it makes sense to just make it black :) - pity cause I bought 2m's of white that is now of no use :( - anyone want it at a bargain price?

Brake cable? yes

Damn this bike is testing my patience and brain ..... somewhere slack is taken up in the internal cabling so the RD doesn't shift properly :(

Will do some testing just now with a full outer and if thats OK then isolate if it's just one of the two 'runs' ..... (down tube or chainstay)

Where did you have them done and how much was it?

Would be cool, I may get some from my SiL though :)

Progress has been made  but still lots of finishing off to be done .....

Sorry for the delay been a bit busy, take the parts to Astro anodizes in sabenza Edenvale takes a few days and they have a minimum charge ,around R350 so take all you can ,just make sure there is no steel parts attached as they will corrode when they clean the parts. Hope this helps

Not that I'm in the Gauteng area at all, but how much can be done for that R350?

WOW is all I can say  - feels a bit strange at first but once I settled down it has a way more comfortable ride than my previous ALU TT frame and is slightly smaller. Don't feel like I have to move back on the saddle anymore ....

The gears shift 'OK' so I'll just leave it as it is for now!

cut a piece of the aero at the back away and file the top piece where the post go in round so it can take a normal clamp. Just a quick drawing but dunno if it will make sence. Top view and side view. maybe a *** idea but easiest and cheapest for sure.

Make sure you drill a 3 - 4 mm hole (at a point where you want the slot to end) before you cut that slot, or you will run a crack down the seat tube.

As Flowta says it has been done and by C/fibre experts

A bit difficult for me to say but have dealt with them a few times and take different things to them but probably a shopping basket of mixed sizes. 10 odd items

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok so some feedback, done 3 'events' on it ,,,, 23k, 20k and 13k .... frikkin awesome! Definitely more comfortable than my Pro Espresso setup (the TT is a bit shorter ...), having said that as most will know that TT's are less about how fit/strong you are than it is about how much YOU are prepared to SUFFER ;)

2 more of those to go, tomorrow a short hill climb (my weight will be a serious handicap :( ) but that will be on my Tarmac and then the 23k again in 2 weeks time .....
