Is motorcycling allowed?

Well MotoGP is supposed to be prototype machines and SBK is supposed to public accessible machines. I think SBK has strayed more away from intended purpose. Good Luck trying to purchase just the ECU's on a SBK.

Are they not all homologated so that they can be bought; even though the price may be silly? MotoGP uses a control electronics package to reduce cost but data collection and analysis is another storey. I suspect MotoGP bikes have another 2 000 odd rpm on WBSK.

This is the theory behind it but they have swayed very very far from this.

Yes indeed. From a layman's perspective I think the biggest difference between Moto GP bikes and WSBK bikes from a lap time perspective are the brakes. Moto GP bikes have carbon brakes which allow them to brake later and harder.

Regarding the aero appearing on moto gp bike. Words cannot describe how absolutely hideous I think that stuff is.

I think it spoils the racing. When a faster bike comes up behind a slower one we want to see an overtake. 😳

I was at a bike night last night, place called Iron Bull roadhouse in Basingstoke. Run by a saffa. Lekker spot and will go often but I digress.

I was there with my super sweet Rf600 as was my mate, also with an Rf600. A pair of RFs is not an every day occurrence I have to add.

but anyway, as I was sucking back a Black Lager , yes it exists, at £5-45 a pint my eyes fell onto a Ducati V4 street fighter thingy which was glistening in the glorious sunshine ( I kid you not) and lo and behold this boney had these wings. Now on an island with a speed li it of 70 miles per hour with few opportunities to go flat out I had a lil chuckle.

and then ordered another pint of black lager.

Bagger racing .... the engines the boys are running on the HD team are readily available via your nearest dealership.

You know, sometimes I just go sit in my garage and admire motorcycles. Might lube a chain , or have slim gedagtes of what I can do next. I will take a tin of 1664 and just look. Motorcycles have been a central theme through my life from 1980. Most of my mates are motorcycling folks and over the years I have had all kinds of motorcycles. From out and our super bikes to adventure bikes to Harleys, to 2 smokes etc etc. but this RF has a special place in my heart. This bike absolutely astounds me every time I ride it. It revs like a porn star at the money shot, chugs around town like a springbok prop, always draws attention like a lotto winner. Cost me 1100. Couple of hundred man hours and a few more quid in upkeep. Owned it now for nigh on 6 years and is probably one of the longest I have owned a motorcycle. Turns 30 years old on June 5.

I picked this up from Tracmac yesterday when changing out the cut front tyre .... sure hope it will keep me dry in the rain. Given some of the neater details on the jacket I am sure it will work well.

Looked at the matching pants, but I am not certain how well this will wear against a hot exhaust pipe, even if the pipe has a heatshield ... so holding back on that for now.

EDIT: The fit over the leather jacket is also good, and in no way feels like it inhibits ones movement.

That was from last year, Cam's season not got off the the best start this season, two DNF's. Matty doing Matty stuff, really consistent. Jake just has the edge over the two of them.

Saturday, Cam was 2nd and Matty 3rd, yesterday Matty 2nd and Cam DNF unfortunately. Lekker to see people keeping an eye on their racing State side, thanks 👍

Read in the MCN last week that BMW have sold more than 20 000 R18s in various forms. Don’t see too many here but saw a bobber on Sunday. Sweet looking bike.
