So this ended up sitting in my garage unused... On his first attempt to ride it, my son fell over and the rear wheel gave him a small roastie on his leg. Bought him a second hand set up boots, but I couldn't get him on it again.

Until Saturday...  I was watching a bike review on Revzilla on Youtube and my son was watching with me and about halfway through he says, "Dad, what protective gear did you get me for the motorbike?" So i tell him and then he says, "When this program is over, can I try ride the motorbike again?" 😃

45 min later (and thank goodness the bike started!) this happened:

Whoop whoop! 🥳

Now he's keen to go ride somewhere proper... So I'll try get him out to Dirt and Dust one weekend soon...

And then later he says to me, "Dad, if we go riding somewhere, I'd feel safer if you were riding with me. I think you should buy a bike so you can ride too!" 😁 Hmm... can't let my boy down now, can I?? 🤣

The bug has bitten……..fantastic!

Hi Guys  - A bit of a spam mail but I figured I might ask the MC owners on the group before I open myself up to millions of FB scammers.  My brother has 6 of these new (sealed in a box) stands that he bought for his collection.  He's now moved to the UK and left them in my garage to try and sell.

Anyone interested?  R1000.  if you are you can drop me a PM!

It could really have been anywhere, but my strongest suspicion is that it was with my last airport trip.

I was away for three days and even though I park in the undercover parking, the bays I normally park in by the entrance were full, so I parked a little down the way, next to a column and by a wall that I thought would help with respect to not having cars or people come around the bike ... in hindsight it could have also given the person the perfect concealment to do what was done.

If not this location, my stops are at sites that are "safe" or at shops running in to get something quickly.....no dodgy places like one would find @Duane_Bosch or @the nerd stopping at.

Come to think of it, what kind of person would do that to the Harley .... must have been a GS or KTM rider :P

Let's see what Pirelli have up their sleeve .... I am already a fan of them based on how their tyres have improved the ride of my bike, may just become a life long user like I am for Maxxiss tyres on my MTB

It was most likely the yamawhaaa okies...

I'm on a ktm, but wouldn't mind that new electric harley!

So next on the list of things my Brother bought for his collection and then left behind when he went to the UK is this.  The Husqvarna, not my wife.  Although if someone wants the slippers they are welcome to them.....

I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet - it's pretty impractical and not really something I would want but I'll fix a few of the niggles and then see.....

I been married 17 years, not been able to fix a single niggle. Maybe you have better luck.

I know it's racing but who doesn't like a few interesting factoids? Fancy a Moto GP vs WSBK lap time comparison?

Alvaro Bautista recently did a 1:33.03 around Misano in testing on his WSBK Ducati. Which is almost 2 seconds slower than the all time lap record of Peco Bagnaia with a 1:31.06 On his Ducati Motougly. 2 seconds doesn't sound like much but if you look at the fastest lap times around Misano by bike and rider combo Bautista's time is only good for 101st place.

If you stripped all of the aero aids off the MotorGP bike, what would the difference be then?

The Husky SM is practical, for hooling around town and quick run arounds the hood.

New timing chain and conrod every 10000kms or 24months says the manual.  That sounds like a highly strung race engine to me.

I'd be scared riding it too often I think

Reminds me of those aprillias a few years ago. 450 and a 550 iirc. Also hellish maintenance schedules.

Well MotoGP is supposed to be prototype machines and SBK is supposed to public accessible machines. I think SBK has strayed more away from intended purpose. Good Luck trying to purchase just the ECU's on a SBK.
