Hard as hell! Was shattered at the end of the half marathon. Started cramping at 10km. Never happened to me before. Was so bad I had to get a rub down form the paramedics at the end .

On that note, what is the best cramp treatment during a race? Saw some USN cramp prevention tablets at discem yesterday?

best cramp prevention is to train harder I am afraid :-)

Fnuik you can also load up on some magnesium before the race - two to three days before the race, pop a couple of cheap dischem magnesium tablets a day.

Damn nice rote, damn nice venue, well organized event, I really enjoyed it (even the graspolle :D ) but was still sitting ith after effects of a cold so went slow and steady. 2:21 for the half.

We'll now that Nissan Trailseeker #2 is out the way let's see what #3 throws at us.

This race was enjoyable. As Quincy mentioned it was good doing some of the trails in reverse, have also ridden there a lot and it gives it a completely different feel.

Big thumbs up to all that organized this race.

Hi Muggins

Were you able to resolve your missing time issue?

Just asking as I am in the same situation. Do we just let it go and count it as a damn good training session?

Hahah must say I was totally undercoocked for this race. Will train a lot harder for #3 and hopefully it will be better. Had to walk most climbs on Saturday as my legs started cramping as soon as I saw a little uphill

Did you recently change your supplements? I changed from Cadence Classic energy to Pure Blast and its awesome but the pure doesnt have Soduim as part of the stuff inside so I start cramping on it just after 40km on the last 3 races. Did the Full Marathon at Hakahana on Cadence again and no cramps

Those "Cramp Block" tablets are awesome for preloading a race but during a race when you cramp, nothing works like a Rennie :D

No I have not had any luck yet. Problem is the only way to contact Jumpertrax is by email. I have sent them 2 emails but have had no luck so far. I'll give them a day or two.

Will let you know what comes of it. I don't see why we must put this down to a bad experience. I am sure they will sort it out but I am not going to be amused if they don't sort it out.

Hi Muggins

Thanx for the feedback. I also sent them a mail and will let you know if I hear something as well. Good to know we are 2 going after this.

Does anyone know who the photographers were? PhotoMarx? I can't recall seeing any though.

Photomarx unfortunately don't take fotos for us anymore, we are still looking for a replacement. :)

Photomarx were not there. They sent an email saying that it's not worth while doing it because it costs them more money than what they make.

How does one get hold of Jumpertrax.?

Marathon:

Tough race, the climbs up the first hill were quite a challenge. Descents went fine. Thank goodness the climb back up the 2nd hill was easier, yet steep.

Enjoyed it.

I found the last five km rather mindless, just dragging back and forth aimlessly on that gerotec 4x4 track - VERY BORING, compared to the rest of the race

Ride time 3:57, official 4:01 (with 1 quick 3 cup stop at the last water table this still mystifies me)

Good event, thanks Wessel, will be back again.

We tried to remove this, and it back fired. as a last minute the guys marked it same as last year... apologies.
