I don't see Andrew Talansky or TJ van Garderen on that list...??

Any rider born on, or after, 1 January 1989

Talansky was born November 23, 1988

van Garderen was born August 12, 1988

My last spot on my team is between van Garderen and Kwiatkowski. Both have not had a great build up to the Tour and I can't make a call on who will be up for it more than the other. I have been staring at my screen for ages and I'm going a bit nuts.

van Garderen vs. Kwiatkowski: who is the better pick (based on current form)?

Van gaarderen will be high up on the GC (top 10), but he won't wear a jersey and he won't win stages. Kwiatkowski may be lower down on the GC but he is a serious contender for the white jersey during the early stages and he might win a stage or two if he can get back to his spring form which (if it so happens) will score you more points... So how I see it is a matter of risk and reward. Van gaarderen is less risk, but Kwiatkowski has potential for more reward, hence my choice

Ok other sites have those two as contenders for the white jersey, and Wikipedia says white jersey is for everyone under 26. Both are 25.

So not sure now.

(yes I have studied how the scoring works :))

Age limit for white jersey is 25 or under

Here's the link to the Tour's Rules

Go to page 38 (pdf) for the clause that states 1 Jan 1989 as the cut off for young Riders.

Here's the list of the Young Riders at this year's Tour

I've posted the young riders eligible for the white jersey - it's the only category exclusive to a select few. Don't select riders thinking you'll score points because of what may be shown on other competition websites.

This comp's scoring is pulled directly from the Tours "classification" page, meaning only the 34 listed will score points.
