Tricky stuff

Sir Brad is the icon of British Cycling

Sky Racing is all about furthering British cycling and a real monument of the Brits' presence in the sport.

Apparently, his contract runs out and Froome's has longer life.

Hmmm

Not really tricky, I agree with Hellocolour, British racing team, Wiggins is a top British athlete, he is Knighted for goodness sake, he is in top form, he has already won and got sidelined,.......and Brailsford decides not to take him..........the management at SKY must be livid.

That's how it works in business.. they will take you out. The potential risks having wiggins in the team (in a supporting role) could prove detrimental for sky at Le Tour.. internal politics, friction, differences etc.so we just not have him there at all. Irrespective whether there are differences, if you have the talent and ability you should be at Le Tour.. he does not only have the ability to do well, he has the ability to win! Due to internal differences, this athlete (nevermind supporting or leading the team) does not take part in the tour at all. Very sad for competition as a whole. will be glad if he gets signed by another team! only my opinion folks

Yes, nicely put in a nutshell.

Wiggins will not fit in with those cool guys of OGE, he is way too arrogant and those Ausies wont enjoy him.

Can you imagine chillaxed Gerrans having to deal with Aroggins?

I think it will be great for the sport if he does move to another team as it could start a proper rivalry that we all want.

That's what I meant.

Tricky decision within Sky Pro Cycling, considering all I've mentioned.

I agree, Wiggins should stay there and Sky will remain a "true" British team. BUT I do not see them letting Froome go that easily, he is bringing in the silverware for them. Having said that, I think SKY will lose a few supporters when Sir Wiggins moves.

Maybe, although I dont believe Wiggins is "difficult" as the media like to portray him, perhaps he is just not happy at SKY and it shows in his manner?

SKY has let a number of good riders wonder off to other teams, Uran and Rodgers in particular, if Wiggins goes I dont see the team been any kind of force any where except the TDF.

OGE have made a clear statement that they'll not contract a GC rider, incl Wiggo.

This was a direct respond to the rumours floating around.

Getting to GC leadership is a project for them that spans over several years from now.

But then again...to the sponsors that is where it counts

Fair enough, I misunderstood. I dont think the money behind the team (ie) SKY Management will interfere in Brailsford's decisions, but behind the scenes, I am pretty sure they would be biting their tongues, Wiggins got SKY to its position of dominance today and I believe anyway, they would feel he has been rather shabbily treated.
