SteveS Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Are the light ones maybe OEM tyres, i.e. came with a new bike. I have heard (no facts) that lighter/thinner/inferior tyres are put on new bikes to make them lighter when weighed at the LBS by prospective clients....

jcza Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 and here is a question: Looking at Rocket Ron and Racing Ralphs as a combo. Any suggestions/advice (for a 29er)? Previously had Wolverines on my 26er and they were fantastic. Ralph rear and Ron front seems to be the most common combination. I recently changed from Ralph/Ralph but with my skilzzz don't feel any difference. Saw Platt in Clarens with Ron/Ron combo. GrantRH and rouxtjie 2
