Thanks all for the inspiration! Great stuff.

I have currently started. weight was 135, lost 2kgs over 3 weeks. As mentioned, I am glad to see that there are people that has shed a crapload of weight, my aim is to get to 95 (I used to play prop, extremely muscular).

Keep the stories coming!

Was 97kg now 79kg..18kg lost. Riding for 16 months now and still enjoying it. Could loose another 3 or 4kg but enjoy my beer and braaivleis to much.

Cool thing about a Wifi scale.....it keeps record.

Pretty constant this side.....and I started on 74kg 20 years ago.......sitting at 80.

So maybe not a good example of "dropping" kilos.  heheheheh

1.79m and over the last 4 years dropped from 110kg to 78kg. dropped from a size 44 to a 34 haha.  losing weight costs a lot of money though.  Over these 4 years i've given bags and bags of clothes away, only the last year or so I've been able to start wearing old t-shirts etc.

Good to see this thread still going and to hear all the positive stories! I am now hovering at the 77-78kg mark. I don't really want to drop more than this and partly because I can't afford to keep buying new clothes at this rate - my 32 pants are now starting to feel big. My old 36's look like something I could slide some poles through and camp under. The festive season didn't impact me as I had a bit of MTB schooling in KZN hill gradients over the period. I'm actually having to eat more to maintain my weight at this point. Not the worst possible outcome I suppose?

I dropped allot as mentioned... from 91 to 77 at a time... thing is all my training buds hanged up after the Argus... so difficult to train on my own! But ill have to try keeping it down or even going for 75kg!

I started cycling last February. I'm 1.84m tall and weighed 109kg's at the time. Without changing my eating habits, I only lost around 6kg's by August 2014. I then adjusted my habits and by the time the 94.7 rolled up I weighed 90kg's. I'm now on around 87kg's. Over the last 10 years I've lost around 80kg's. I used to weigh around 160kg-170kg. From a size 60 that was toit! to a size 32-34.

As many have already mentioned, it's more the feel good side of cycling than the weight loss that motivates me ... the increased strength, stamina, overall fitness and personal sense of achievement.

Well done to all on their weight loss, and good luck to those still losing.
