Hi

Has anbody else had there tonsils removed in there late 20's and got an idea how long before they were able to start training again.

Been 9 days and I'm still feeling rather bleak.

Had my tonsils removed a year ago (25 at the time). Felt like dog **** for 2 days max (put my feet up for another 2 or 3) and was training hard after a week or so.

Shew, shame guy having your tonsils out in your 20's is painful... For me, the anaesthetic was the biggest lingering nuisance once I was back on my bike. It takes about a week to recover per hour that you are sedated (from what I was taught and have experienced). I have a pretty good pain threshold and I laughed at the doctor when he told me I would be sore for 10 days. I was SORE for 10 days. I don't take pain killers, but boy was I glad for them after that experience. And the painkillers will obviously also affect how you feel on the bike. Keep your chin up, give it another few days and I am sure you will be back at the sharp end soon.
