Question; how do you get all your stuff from the start to the race village? I'm assuming there are no big black boxes like at Sani, as we're staying in the same spot for the last 2 days.

There is a shuttle service that take your car the day 1 start to the race village for R400. Details on website.

There will also be a truck that will transport a small bag for each rider to the race village. This for the stuff you will need after you finish, as it is possible to finish before your car arrives at the race village.

So, what are your team names and start batches?

Mine is very original...not

We are team Ratty and Dad.  Starting as per normal near the back in group J which is pretty much where we will stay.

Bike is in for a service after a muddy winter, spares have been bought.  8 days and we will be on the road to my favourite race.

Guys, I need some help. I see on the website that there are many service/maintenance options available. Can someone point me out to the best one? Don't want any person to work on my bike.

Hi all

Looking for some advice on what spares to take with. We're doing the 2-day and this will be our first stage race.

I'm riding a dual-suspension 26er with 9-spd drivetrain.

Thanks

My advise would be to get a service package. They will have all the necessary spares if something happened.

Good luck on getting responses.  I've tried 2 but still waiting to hear from them.

Hi guys

I got a sub for the great trek and was unable to change the size of the clothing.

Im looking to swap 2XL for medium or small.

I know I can do this at race village but it can be a bit of a mission to run a round there looking for the right size clothing.

So if there are any hubbers on here who have the same problem but are looking for bigger sizes let me know.

Might be easier to sort it out now than the day before the race.

Thanks.

Who else is racing the buffalo cat on the decent?

On the 12 beers a day diet, trying to stay above 90kg (Actually need to be 92 as partner claims he is 88). We starting batch B.

Do you really think it is necessary to have a "service package" for a 3 day ride?  If something breaks or wears out you can just purchase the required part from one of the technical assistance teams at the event, and they can install it for you, or in my case I will install myself.
