Yes, he is. He's posted on this thread. He's a bitter and twisted person. I used to like him, but now his vitriol betrays him. He's the kind of person who'll claim not to be scared of legal action for saying what he claims to be true, but will then choose to hide behind numerous aliases to snipe at those who have achieved much more than him. I believe that he is looking quite haggard these days - "he's missing teeth," one of my sources says. Well, that makes sense. His attacks are toothless.

It's pretty shallow creating a profile in the name of a deceased legend of SA cycling and wanting to use that profile to air his opinions , he even has R.I.P. included in his profile ,I wonder if he knows what that means .

Is it illegal to have an account and use another real persons name...even if they have passed? A bit like impersonation. If I had passed and someone had an account in my name and started saying all sorts of things, my family would not be impressed.

No, technically, it isn't illegal. Many spoof or parody accounts exist, but they usually state what they are. Many of them are funny. This one isn't. Not one bit. It's just sick. The owner of that account should hang his head in shame. He won't. His rep has been tainted in the past. Now he wants to taint others. Self-serving has-been. And that description is me being generous.

And that is really the crux of it, using that name to fight their personal opinions makes it even worse.

If they created the account to bring memory to an iconic Legend, different story.

Many people will have various opinions on Alan.

In the end of the day he was exactly what his nickname gave him, THE IDOL.

Guys like those are so bitter, they were good riders but never really made the upper crust, never really had their names engraved in history, ride at elite level but can't make the bacon.

They are so bitter with their genetic lot in life that they get consumed and overcome by jealousy and then decide to create spoof accounts to attack those they are jealous of.
