Has anyone tried this local stuff, I seriously need a solution to expensive Stans, I was into OKO, but it is to thick and does not always have the flow to get to the puncture, STANS is great and I have accepted that I just have to replace every 6 weeks and clean out the latex solids, I just don't want to pay so much.

I use Batseal and have been for a number of months now. Can't honestly say whether it works or not as I've never had a puncture in any of my tyres.

I bought some Batseal, thought I'd give it a try. I don't like the strong amonia smell and it seems to take longer to seal a hole than Stans.

How often should sealant be topped up?

Shake the wheel. If you can hear it, it's good.

If you can't hear any sloshing around, open up, clean and top up with sealant.

If youre in a rush just top up. Cleaning the tyre out every few months will prevent any unnecessary build up.

Excuse my newbness, due to it being tubeless, do I pry the tyre from the rim? Would refitting be a simple exercise? As you can gather, haven't done this before and my LBS did my conversion.

Sometime it is not a case of refilling you need to clean out the old stuff and refill, case in point , the photospost-46828-0-72701100-1403813125_thumb.jpgpost-46828-0-35953800-1403813127_thumb.jpg

A quick look at on-line shops tells me that Batseal is 0.308 cents/ml while Stan's varies between 0.311 - 0.423 cents/ml. I prefer Stans as it seals quickly thus only minor top-ups required. Just don't use CO2.
