Does anyone know whether there is secure parking at Lourensford for the duration of the event?

My wife will not be able to drop me off, so I am sleeping over at a friend's on Thursday. Rather than have him drive to Lourensford to drop me off, I would rather just take myself to the start and collect my car on Sunday after the race when my wife comes through to the finish.

Yes there is, I did that last year. You can also get someone from the local Lions Club to drive your car to Oak Valley for a fee

Thanks for the info.

My wife is coming through on Sunday in any event, so don't need my car in Kleinmond. Besides, if an over zealous driver runs out of talent with my Allroad I'll be pretty miffed.

I think the Rotary clun still has some space available to move your car from Lourensford to Onrus and they give secure parking. At R300 I think it is a bargain

Any other W2W late substitutions ??......

As a late substitution I would like to swap out the W2W jacket, (of the guy that I sub), who is an XXL to a Large.

Organisers said I was substituted to late to change the size.........

I guess all the jackets look the same, irrespective of which leg you compete in.

Thanks !

I gave myself up for a large, but have no idea how the Due South fit will be. If the fit is too tight I'll consider a swop. But you should be able to find someone to swop with at the event. (I'm doing the Ride, so if you take care of yours & don't find someone to swop with we can maybe swop after the event. I'll take good care of mine too:)

Guys, I'm sitting with a bit of a conundrum. My partner has a family situation that may force him out of the Ride. Its not certain yet, but I'll have to start making contingency plans.

Does anyone know someone that might be interested in doing the Ride (Monday-Wednesday) on short notice? I'm not a racing snake, but trained hard enough to aim for a sub 5hr day 1. However, I'm more than happy to do it much slower too.

I know its a tough one, as we might only know on Saturday whether he can make it (but we may also know sooner than that). So I'm basically looking for someone to act as super-sub if required.

hey man, drop Christiaan a message - he may be interested at ietsvandieaard@gmail.com - strong rider, and all round good partner for hard rides. He's from Stellenbosch - and rides Jonkers often, so used to climbing, that will help with your sub 5hr days.

Me and my teammate are both substitutes on original size L, while we would both need XXL or larger. I would be keen to swap.

Tried to send a mail to the address but the mail is rejected as "Remote SMTP server has rejected address"

Any other addresses for Christiaan?
