I'm backing robo up on this one. Move your grips in 50mm at a time and keep the stem at 60mm

50mm?

Think you meant 5mm... Is it going to be one of those Mondays?

Cool, will give that a try, I also think that the lack of rise could also be a problem. I must say, bike felt a it better on descents with the longer stem with the rise - that's why I'm hoping the 80mm with the rise will improve things a bit.

So with a new 70mm Race Face Stem , 750mm Funn Full On handlebar and Ritchey WCS True Grips all installed on my bike, i think my commute home is going to be a blast to say the least......

Lol, While most people here use their 45min lunch time to go smoke, i used mine to work on my bike. plus i work 10-12 hours a day but only get paid for the normal hours so my bosses dont really complain to much if i take a personal moment every now and then

purchased 740mm raceface turbine up from 685mm also running 70mm stem and the bike now handles beautifully.

can't see why people still use the excuse that a wide bar will clip trees etc...dynamic riding= move the bike move yourself.loosy goosy.

just think twice before cutting in between cars, poles (ESPECIALLY POLES) and other rather imobile objects as you need a ride or two in order to get your "cut in and make that turn by 1mm" technique dialed in again .... experience talking here :)

How is it on the up hills.

I haven't had any issues on climbs with the wider bars - did quite a steep climb over the weekend and it went fine, obviously with the shorter stem, you need to focus on weighting the front wheel though.

mine was 740mm I cut them down to 720mm,the longer ones don't like trees on the singletrack here in KZN. You will be playing bumper cars with the trees here.

I wanna swop my 90mm stem for a 70mm and see what difference it makes.
