Early bird entries were gobbled up in 5 minutes, the normal entries are at 70% for 2015. If anyone on the Hub did this in 2014, please pm me...I'm keen to chat.

Few saffas did it this year. nico van der pfitzenmaaierhemiderberg came top 10 riding under our flag now.

that being said, it's the other side of the world, you go there for a trip AND a bike race. it's got to be combined with a holiday if you're going to that much effort.

My brother and his riding partner (Another Saffer) did it this year.

On the 2nd day another rider caused a crash, my bother's partner broke 2 ribs.

The "Boere" soldiered on and finished . . . . Hats of to the Guys.

(But now he is recovering from a bit of a pneumo-thorax)

On my Bucket list . . . at least I have a place to stay in BC and access to a bike.

It would be cheaper for me than a EPIC . . .

Hectic...I have family in Vancouver, I was there last year and it is slightly easier for me too...

I was visiting family in Powell River (Stage 3) 2weeks ago and just missed the race coming through there. Did the stage loop about 3 times and must say its fun! If I can give some advice, don't do it on a hardtail! Also did the Squamish stage and that was by far the best. If you do it, make it a holiday and go do some riding in Squamish. I spent 2 days there and its not enough. Honestly its the best trails ever. Northshore is also amazing but had a better experience at squamish because of the locals.

This is why I have taken early retirement so that I go and do rides like this. I am very keen but just a little worried about the logistics of getting there. I would spend an extra week or two over there riding as much as possible to get maximum benefit from the trip.

Any advice of best way of getting there and which trails to ride while I am there, would be most appreciated.
