Me and my wife entered the 40km, feeling excited after doing the Trailseeker series this year.  Very excited to be going back to my roots, and looking forward to the challenge that is Magoebaskloof.  Staying in Tzaneen with my folks' who are equally excited to be looking after the grandchildren while we torture ourselves

See you guys there!

So the word is in from Cannondale...

"the damage to the bike is consistent with some sort of impact. As such it is not something which would be covered under the warrantee"

Not sure I agree with them but what can I do, Im not a Cannondale bike engineer that looked at a couple of photo`s.

Im still not sure what the extent of the damage is though.  But I`ll be collecting my bike today and will be riding this weekend.  If it’s the carbon it will open up so I`ll keep an eye on it.  Just hope I dont get a please of carbon up my ass...

All they have to say is that damaged is caused by impact and that equals no more warranty....

Not the end of the world as Carbon, unlike Aluminium is fairly easy to repair.

What did Cannondale say - can you still ride the bike, can you post a pic so we can have a look.

All good to go.

New bike.

New bike set up.

New mtb shoes.

New saddle.

Perfect test to see if it all works. Look out for me with the black and orange Trek and glowing red mtb shoes.

Checking in to magoebaskloof hotel at about 5p.

See you all on the start line.
