@ndy Posted July 18, 2014 Share Georges, Find a long room. Mark your wheel and the floor with a bit of tape or something similar. Line up the tape on the wheel with the tape on the floor. Slowly ride along the room and stop when the tape on the wheel reaches the floor again. Mark that spot and measure between the two marks. If you are lucky enough to have a long enough area for more than one revolution then your measurement accuracy increases. I do it sitting on the bike with my normal tyre pressure just to be sure I get the most accurate result I can. Hope this helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What about the flat spot where the tyre and the ground meet once rider weight is added? surly this will affect circumference by a few mm every rotation? Does that mean even ride I've ever done is out by thousands of mm? Note to self.
