My father has a quick and easy way to tell the value of a bike as well as the type of rider. Just look at the saddle, the less padding the better the bike and rider.

I use this excuse when this misses is in the car and the woman on the bike is hot

I'm sure there is a specific sequence one uses to check out another rider/bike

 

Rider - shoes, socks, kit, helmet, sunnies, gloves etc

Bike - frame, wheels, gruppo, bars, stem etc

 

Any of these below expectation then the staring ends

Arrived at the big airport in JHB last Friday, walked to the City Lodge and noticed a car parked with a bike on the back...started walking towards it to check it out and realised the CCTV will catch me drooling...still wonder if that bike lasted without finding a new home?

Driving past a car (with bikes on back) three or four times to ascertain brand, model, year etc. etc. Usually followed by lekker argument with riding buddies in car about exactly WHICH brand, model, year etc.
