Indeed, check the OP's last post.

He still assumes that he is a better rider than most of us hackers on here.

As his buddy suggested, why even really bother.

At least it's been made very clear to us that the precious Spruit is not ours to use freely and at leisure.

I would wager that peaches can ride better than anyone posting on this thread.

So no assumptions on his part...

It starts here :

All from assumptions, in actual fact if one half reads it between the lines, it looks like you are referring to the "racing snakes" or "marathon riders"

Has it ever occurred to you that many people take their kids ,wives and girlfriends along The Spruit, many of these people couldn't really be bothered what you want, they are more interested in keeping the bike upright and get fit, and if all pans out OK, we might even see them enter events and become regular cyclists.

I can promise you that those kids, wives and girlfriends are not the ones that are going to straight line corners to try go faster or because they can't make the corners.

Excuse my lack of understanding...what sections are we discussing exactly? Emmies trees?

Emmeies, I think has 3 corners that are being cut, ill use this to point out the idiot that keep on moving the logs put next to the protruding steel bar.

The new line running down to the gym is also having a few corners cut.

And this, ladies, is why the spruit sucks. Moan moan. Nothing is ever good enough. Whether it's the trail quality, other riders, walkers, joggers, doggers and vagrants. There is forever a moan about someone, something sometime. Please. You are beginning to sound like Ride mag or DSTV.. Repeat repeat repeat

Hey, what's wrong with Ride magazine?!

The few times I've ridden the Spruit I really have appreciated the areas where work has clearly been put in, whoever has undertaken this thankless task deserves plenty of beers. I did have a few scary moments in some of the deep ruts along one section but on the whole it was a decent piece of trail considering where it is but maybe need someone to show me all the exciting bits that are being discussed here.

Hi Guys and Girls

Topic closed in the interest of all.

Same hubbers within the same discussion and nothing constructive is being added. Especially considering the direction the last few pages have taken. Will do some clean up as well.
