Also my first. Anyone know how much the total ascent is for the 110km? From the site it looks like it starts with a good hill and then has two small blips and otherwise quite flat.

Doesn't this go through suikerbosrand? Just road it this morning... it's definitely not flat.

Only elites go thru SBR

Hmmm....after last year's "hell in the wind", I swore I would never put myself through this race again....I'm so confilcted!

I ride large sections of the 110km route almost every weekend with my training rides and honestly be prepared for the wind once past karee kloof, there is no shelter in sight and it almost always blows cross wind through there heading into henley. and then head or tail wind from henley to finish. Lets hope for tail this year but highly unlikely.

 

I hope they have fixed the pothole just as we make the right turn off verwoerd road heading back towards the red and white towers... real nasty section of road
