Did a easy ride with my wife today and past trough the graded section just after five. The dirt road then was as smooth as can be. The guys doing the road just finishing. It now started raining so as long as not to many cars drive through there tonight with the rain, the road should still be in good condition tomorrow.

Just as a matter of interest. The dirt road and tar road we start and finish on, are all private land owned by Rand Water Board. Rand Water every year for the race fix the dirt section. They have no interest in tarring this section as it will increase motorist taking short cut trough this area. And for us cyclist using this section as part of our training rides, we also don't want that.

Alnost perfect conditions to ride in.

Had a good workout with CL group that got away after the dirt road (I counted 11 when we turned left after the Walkerville downhill - everyone worked well together and was a pleasure to ride with them).

We also picked up just about every rider we passed and dragged then to the finish.
