Just a thought: Are these concept stores actually cheaper than your lbs?

Not going to mention any brands or shops, but a lbs here in town became a concept store...besides the fact that they only stock a specific brand, the only difference I saw was an increase in prices  Now for me who use to be a regular shopper at this specific lbs, it only means that I will have to look elsewhere for better prices :whistling:

Well, I'm looking for new bar ends and some tubes, so will try them out. Not holding my breath though...

Just got back from there.

Some bikes are nicely priced, but spares and accessories on the expensive side.

Not sure if this was worth the long wait.

But then again, a friend of mine purchased his long awaited 650b there this morning.

Not a bad shop, got my bar ends and some tubes and 10% off after asking.

Good luck to them!

The 'nice' thing about a concept store is that (theoretically) you can see a brand's entire line in one place. The last time I was at a certain 'Town' store trying to compare bikes I was told that although they are a dealer / stockist for one particular brand they don't actually carry them on the floor but I could pay and they would 'order one from the catalogue' for me...

It's strange that Revolution Cycles has gone this route. They carried boutique brands like Santa Cruz and Pyga, o speak under correction but I think you can potentially still get non Specialized stuff at their old site. The Specialized brand must be quite attractive and the deal very profitable for them to have done this.
