Concept stores are the worst stores honestly. Speaking as a Spez rider, the last place you buy a Spez is a concept store. They have the kakkest service, and give 0% discount. Yes, thats you Helderberg cycle world and the new revolution concept store is just as bad.

Lets hope Giant dont follow in the same footsteps.

Johnny, I agree with you totally.

You can add Coimbra George to this list. (my current Epic was "dissed" to try and up-sell me the latest model")

I buy all my Spez goodies through Cyclefunatics.

If they out of stock I go to BMT.

Since Trevor is not there anymore, I will wait for Deon to order stock in.

The guys at Cyclefunatics are always friendly, helpful and willing to do deals.

To the shops mentioned above, I have bought 3 Spez bikes in 2014 from Deon.

Bmt is my no1 shop, for sure. Cyclefunatic have some staff that know very little, I always seem to get them, one guy tried to sell me a Rumor. A ladies bike.  Helderberg concept store, Revolution concept are really really bad, and make we want to ride another brand.

Cycle shops can really destroy a brand if they want with bad service.

When we hooking up for a ride, or a beer.

Tomorrow - Somerset West (road bike)

Saturday - 7H00 Burry Ride at Cyclefunatics. (mtb)

Sunday - Jonkies with a brekkie at Ride-in.....  (mtb)

.....?

Okay there goes that idea, I won't use my wife's Rumor anymore..........   :whistling:

Heard a rumor that the upgrade to the Revolution Cycles shop to Concept store was in the order of R2mil  So yeah there must be some huge incentives to justify spending that amount :whistling:

Name of the shop is Giant Durbanville. On the corner of oxford street and wellington road. Next to the Vida e caffe.

Got a warranty claim replacement frame through them early in January. Awesome service and Ruan is more than willing to go the extra mile for a client! I drive to them from Somerset West because of the service i get.

I seem to be in the minority...Have not had the best experience with Giants workshop service. wont be going back. Best to just do all the maintenance myself and that way there wont be any nasty surprises the night before a race.

I send an email to Giant Durbanville on Friday with a request, four minutes after pressing send I got an relevant reply to my query. And they were even willing to bend and accomodate me thou I did not ask for it. This is an indication of great service. The moment I’ve saved up a bit I will be in the shop.

Thanks Johan.
