did race one over the weekend. Really great turnout for a maiden event.

REALLY hope that morons don't go rogue ride it now. my folks have been living in the for 30 years now so I know the properties well - loads of potential with new owners on two of the properties who seem to be bike positive. please don't scare them off!

look forward to this weekend coming up.

You won't get in to Klein Constantia to rogue ride. Buitenverwachting has a common gate with Tokai which is open most of the time. The owner has told me before that he doesn't mind cyclists riding through his farm. Uitsig is pretty boring and not worth the risk. The farms on their own are small and the risk vs reward ratio makes it totally uninteresting to go there.

Believe me, I have scoped them all out , plus another 3 farms closer to Constantia Nek. By invitation of the owners, in case you're thinking I rode there illegally.

These farms are essentially homes with big gardens. You're not likely to ride there undetected.

hold the phone, you can ride through the farm coming back from tokai? obviously it can't be an entry point to to the forest?

Funny how no one mentions that the race was a total mud fest.... I think the organizers could have been a little kinder and not put us through the soggy fields. The rest was great.

Sjoe what a mud fest.

Rode like a total noob.

Started late.Tyres too hard. Rode into a ditch on the first lap. Blood and swearing in equal quantities.

Took a deep breath on lap 2. Deflated tyres. Held back on the downhills.

Finished about 10th from last. Just beat the guy who ran in with a broken chain.

Oh, the shame.

But hey, I've got another two races to redeem myself.

I flippin' hope this race becomes a regular gig.

proper results anywhere?

Racetec are currently a mess.

yeah I'm looking for that too, as I didn't stick around afterwards, post here if you find or hear of anything first. Would like to know the standings in the various categories.

I rode the second race. It nearly killed me! Was expecting something a bit more tame. But a really enjoyable race. Big up to the guys who put it together, must have been a lot of work making single track for 3 races, hope to be there next year (a lot fitter next time)
