Damn it! I wonder if we have an equivalent of Cajees in Cape Town? sounds like a fascinating place, this thread just made me curious to visit them. Next time work sends me up North I will try to pop in there and experience it, I will bring a torch, a packet of ciggies, anything else I am missing?

Lube. It hurts less when they screw you...

A thick skin.

Sometimes those sales okes are on you faster than a fly on $h!t!

Ive got some good deals from them, I went in to buy a bike and walked out with my bike. Off the floor and into my boot. I dont want the bobbejaan& spanner near my bike.

I visited my local Specialized Concept Store over the weekend . Two guys offered their service .

Great .Everything in it's place . Classy , BUT , pure Tupperware. Even their mascot dogs are not allowed ( ? ) in the showroom .Flipping hel . These dogs were the ones that greeted you as you walked into the shop before the larney upgrade. Rather "visit " the guys at the dark Cajees Store with some help-my-krap ( not always crap ) boxes of specials and some bantering. Will never have my bike serviced by them though .

Saw this post with interest. Once thought I'd get some spares there. Waited from 09h00 (thought that was a reasonable opening time, but they only open at 09h30) til 09h40 with no sign of anyone, figured that was shoddy and the rest would be too, and left. Won't go back.

When last did somebody in the P&P run up to you and point out the correct isle to buy your tampons???

It worries me that you actually KNOW he uses tampons..... :)

Went there today for the first time just to check it out. Im in the market for a Dual suspension  29er, so i asked for quote on an Anthem X1, and they are by far the cheapest i have seen in JHB. Found the store very cluttered and disorganised, but was assisted within moments of walking through the door.

Now should i steer clear or is it safe to buy from them??

edit:spelling

I have never had bad service from them. When I was still in Gauteng I spent all my pennies there.

why the hell did you necro a  thread about sumbag cajees? sis man.

wanted to get an SRAM PG990 a year ago. cajees quoted R800 for the PG950, i ended up buying the PG980 elsewhere for R450....and some of you say you love cajees huh?

Cajees Fourways quoted me R850 on a specific item, the same item at Cajees Eastgate was R525. MTB shoes R1600 at Fourways, same pair at Eastgate was R1150. What's that saying?

Are the Cajees stores Franchises/Franchisees/Franchisors ? I know that MANY moons ago it started off as a LBS in Roodepoort ( Selling DIKWIELE to Folk en Vaderland ) and then branching out to watches .

It says you should buy that stuff from Cajees Eastgate. Simple, huh?

I bought my first bike from the East Rand Mall branch. When the BB decided to become allergic to crank arms they swapped it out no questions asked. So I can't complain, just don't let them do maintenance and you are all good.

Yes because that never ever happens at some other LBS </sarcasm> Like the guys say, shop around.
