I agree with what Cavendish said about the sprint and I have always admired him but.......

He pissed me off because if he was a bit more awake he could have gotten Martin into yellow. He could have sprinted a bit longer instead of sitting up. That would have given him third and the German who rode his legs off for him today would be in yellow. Doff move Cav. I would prefer to see Martin in yellow to Cancellara. Big fan of Cancellara but he can be a prima Donna and selfish. Martin is a dam fine selfless worker. I remember a break a few years back that Martin went on. He almost took the stage but for some reason Cancellara rode it back. Felt big sympathy for Martin that day

Ja.. when it goes well he planned the sprint well and his team did so well.. when it goes badly, he always tries to find someone else to blame before eventually saying 'Hey I screwed the cat.'

And let's face it Renshaw would have to rely in Cav to tell him when he is ready to launch. . Unless Renshaw had nothing left and pulled off the front before Cav was ready..

BUT

It was a great lead out for Greipel and Sagan.[emoji23] [emoji23]

Did you guys spot how Sagan's wheels were slipping on the paint.[emoji33]

Arme Tony he always works for everyone.. last yr.. he was like a superman.

Okay. Maybe not tomorrow but the rest of the flat stages

Besides the final stage into Paris, what other flat stages? Stage 4 is cobbles, so not a sprinters stage. The way I see it, there are only 2 sprinters stages this year: today and the final day. I'll be surprised if we see Cav/Greipel again until Paris.

I think tomorrow is going to be very tricky. . Steep short climbs, narrow streets..

Licking my lips already. .

Hope you guys have taken leave for this next week[emoji23]

If we know anything about Nibali, he's going to hit back hard tomorrow. He won't wait until the mountains like maybe Quintana will. Expecting him to make a big attack on the Mur.

The names going for the win tomorrow: Kwiatkowski, Valverde, Dan Martin, van Avermaet, Gerrans, and now Nibali.

Cav comes across as though he would have put in the effort for a win but wasn't prepared to put in the effort to protect a team mates position. Perhaps conserving his energy for next time. Having said that, is there time on the cutting edge of a sprint to think it all through?

I'm confused, disturbed and confused again. When could you ever say that!?!   And even if I did and it'd been one of those parties I would sure as hell find some one else to blame!

I had Alaphilippe down for tomorrows stage, looked good through the classics, not shy to give it a go. 'Bit of a pr*ck' as Cav says... Well I had him down until I found out he wasn't in the team when I logged into my Hub TdF fantasy comp.

Nuts.

His lead out launched him to early on the sprint. There is no ways at 60km/h you can shout to the dude in front and say, just pull a bit further boet. Renshaw screwed the pooch here, if cav stayed on his wheel any longer griepel and Sagan would have boxed him in.

Commentary of the sorting was once again rather poor. Will have to wait for Cosmo catalano's how the race was won video.

I agree. They all got it slightly wrong and in a game where the margin for error is so small, it was only a matter of 1 or 2 metres in the end. Says it all.

Irrespective, Cav should just keep that @$$ under his nose closed.
