thanks guys.

while on this - what are the rules regarding the bikes? can they do whatever modifications they like, change bikes (thinking of the crash here) etc? Is the only rule the weight limit and design?

Here are they rules (see Chapter 3 for equipment rules): http://www.uci.ch/mm/Document/News/Rulesandregulation/16/80/73/1-GEN-20150313-E_English.pdf

There is a guide to explain some of the equipment rules: http://www.uci.ch/mm/Document/News/Rulesandregulation/16/51/61/Clarificationguideofrules2012-ENG_English.PDF

TLDR: It's complicated.

complicated, hence ask all knowing hubbers.

lol

There is supposed to be a rule again any and all suspension.. but ja.. Sky have a mini one on the bike they used yesterday.. so I am not sure if they look the other way, or if they have changed that rule.. or if they even care that the teams disregard the rules ha ha ha

With the UCI you never know.. tomorrow they wake up and say.. we are implementing rule 500. 215.368425. and everyone has to go find that rule..

It's always a bit of a mess with the UCI, half the time i don't even think they know what all the rules are.

PS just don't rent a RV.. or participate in a charity ride not sanctioned with the UCI

And are we discussing MTN failure to support Eddie B yesterday... I saw Tylar Farrar on the first set of cobble pretending to by a Sky rider, after that i didn't see much support for Eddie B, I am not saying they weren't there, just that I didn't see them... it's hard to spot everyone, I even missed Thomas at a point yesterday..

As a fan of certain riders, you kinda keep an eye for that specific rider and his team and don't always see the rest.. i was panning for Bert and TInkoff most of the time, so I must have missed some riders..

apparently the Telegraph cycling podcast is really good.. you can find it on Sound cloud or Itunes or where ever.

So I think today.. I will give that a go.. Mute the TV and listen to the podcast instead.

I am just so sick and tired of Phil and Co getting it wrong, not only do they miss things, they mix up the riders and to me don't give comprehensive commentary... Now fans look for certain riders and are bias, but commentators should be giving comprehensive commentary.

Half the reason I can't stand stupid Sky and wobbly Froome is because of that.

and apparently the telegrpah cycling podcast give really good previews and post race thoughts..

Old Man Liggett has contributed a lot to cycling, and for many years he was 'the voice' of cycling for many of us. But this year especially, it seems he trips over himself a helluva lot these days. Gets riders names wrong, forgets who is the world champ this year vs last year, repeats himself a lot. I know it's a relatively small thing, but when it keeps happening it becomes increasingly hard to ignore - like beach sand in your jocks.

Daniel Lloyd seems to commentate on many of the classics and other races.  He would be good to partner with Phil and maybe transition him out over the next few years.

Yesterdays stage was brilliant to watch. You could almost feel the terrifying pace set by the bunches to get their boys to the front for each cobble section. Combine that with Nibalis' constant attacks on the cobbles, it was awesome to watch!

So glad tony got the jersey, good or him and great for froome!

Was seriously impressed with Quintana, the little bugger just seems to be able to do it all!! Considering the time trial on stage one and cobbles here, he's been extremely impressive. Froome and Co better hope he has a bad day in the mountains, cause one thing he does well is climb!

Must say these stages have been far more interesting than the whole of last years your. I still can't bet who would come up with a win!
