Cycling Specific Coach

I have been using a CPT based triathlon coach for a while now, and there have beem some results. But I do not partake in triathlons.

However, I am wanting to speak to someone who is specific to Road Cycling, or has vast experience in it.

There is obviosuly a lot more to learn about racing than just doing triathlon specific programs.

Who are the "better" more "recoginised" Cycling coaches in the JHB area? Names that have been proosed are people Like Bruce Diesel, Gary Beneke....

Bruce, if you follow him on twitter I saw a tweet this AM about a conference he is holding next week with regards to power training. I am not sure of pricing etc.

Yes, saw that same tweet. Might swing past to hear his story.

His pricing is reasonable, and he has various packages.

I was more thinking about who else can be recommended besides these 2?

Science2Sport seems to have a good rep, but not JHB based....

There is a reason those two names come up over and over again. You can also try Pelotrain JHB.

Try bikefit (www.bikefit.co.za) in rivonia (Mark Williams and his crew).

Mark was the coach of team barloworld and konica minolta ladies teams. He's really good.

+- R680 a month and its a serious service where you ride in the studio with your bike twice a week on ergo trainers.  Ive been there for almost a yr and I've gone from 80th percentile to comfortably below 20th percentile now.  his methods really work.

PM me if you want any more info.

Bruce uses power as a basis of his training, so you need to be happy with this. He works with a Nerice Swanepoel who charges R500 pm, instead of the R650 charged by Bruce and you get the same service and experience. She was amongst those recommended to me by the Cycleops guys. I have found her outstanding.

Met with Bruce, and made the call to go with him.

Seems we are on the same page when it comes to power and data, this is important to me.

Thanks for all the advice!!

Why not look at Barry Austin? He is one of the most influencal people and coaches in SA. Also based in CPT
