Do yourself a favour and test a pair of Spez Body Geometry Ridge gloves.

Got myself a pair and they are awesome. The top of the hand is a very thin, breathable fabric, so there is nothing irritating your skin. It also has no padding in the fold of your hand, so it doesn't diminish your "trail feel". It has padding on the heels, to prevent pinching of the ulnar nerve.

And it also has Spez's Wiretap - so you can operate a touch screen without having to take off your glove.

Funny - I have a set of those and I think they are in the bottom 50% comfort wise of my glove collection... ( >10 pairs) :)

I find the most comfortable ones to be the Serfas Zen full finger gloves.- for me.... seem to last ok too.

I LOATHE padding of any kind (I have enough on me, thanks) and I'm actually looking for a totally padding free half-finger glove for my roadie missions. I have a pair of the Ryder cheapies with the gel padding on the heel of the hand and also under the knuckles, and they SUCK. They're uncomfortable, the gel does more harm than good and I actually prefer going glove-less than riding with those abominations. I don't want to use my full finger gloves on the roadie, as they are pretty warm, even though they're awesome.

The only gloves I've found so far have been north of R 400 per pair, and to me, that's just highway robbery...

Even having to fork out R299-00 for gloves make me want to vomit.  The price for gloves are just past insane!

Sportsworld has full finger MTB gloves that I use. They are nice no padding but the thumb is a bit oversized in my pair. Still great gloves that has prevented many scrapes and works well for me.

I have a pair of Dakine gloves.

Super comfy, only padding is on the heel of the palm and its not intrusive at all.

After 6 months they seem to be holding.up really well and only cost me around R160 off swindle.co.za.

What he said. I got a pair of DaKine Ventilators - posted a pic on the "Boast" thead - for R70. The Billabong Factory Shop had them in a big box on special. Should buy a bunch of them.

I have Giro Monaco. They are the most comfortable glove for me. I am now on my 2nd pair. The key is to keep them clean without Machine washing. This is what I have learned after the 1st pair. That bit of Wisdom came from Tankman. I also have the Spez BG Ridge. I can say to 100% certainty that I will never own any other gloves besides these 2. They are the most comfortable gloves out there. The Spez BG ridge has very minimal padding, but extremely comfortable. The BG Ridge gloves are bullet proof though. 3years later, and almost no signs of wear.

Tried a new pair of gloves yesterday and this morning. What a mistake. My hands were numb for some reason. My arms are killing me and it just feels as though my arms can't pick things up. And I was fine with Ryder Gloves...

And they are not the cheapest gloves on the market.

Will post the brand later. Just have to see a Prof at the Office.

I even contemplated using the shock on the road. It is blocked out and I use it on about 200 meters in the morning. It might be something else (I hope) is a real pain and keeps me awake at night.

HIRZL Grippp gloves are really comfortable, but they have limited padding. I've found them to be very durable. Other than these I use Giro Remedy.

Love my HIRLZ Grippp gloves.. most comfy pair of gloves I own, bit pricy but worth it.
