Dynamix Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I just completed the "call me back" on the MiWay "Bicycle Insurance" web page, specifying the the details of my bike. They called me back straight away asking a lot of questions including ID number and then what car I drive. I said I wanted a quote for a bicycle, and got told that they don't insure bicycles! I'm now waiting for Cyclesure's quote.

Brendan2013 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'm with Alexander Forbes and the bike is stipulated under my household etc. Covered for anything that goes wrong or breaks. It's only like R70 a month and the bike is insured with its extras for almost R20'000.

karlvand Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I'm also with cyclesure and I've only had good experiences.claimed earlier this year for my Garmin that went missing during a race and they paid out within 2 days. 2 weeks later I crashed and wrote off the new Garmin, again they paid out for a new unit and my cycling kit that was torn to shreds.
Nickster Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Out of interest, what are you guys paying insurance wise for your bike and what is the value of your bike? Just got a quote from outsurance (standalone insurance for my bike) of R600 for a R40k bike. Reasonable?
