Thank you. I wish I could update it more often but lots has happened within the last year that occupied my "free" time.

That is a Motomag. I have a yellow one in my collection in the original finish and it actually came from Durban about just under 3 years ago.

I received it like this:

And now it looks like this:

And I bought the motomag wheels from someone in JHB last year some time.

More pic's of the Diamond Back's please?

There is a little story about these two bikes. The short of it is that in 1983 a dad bought his son and daughter each a Diamond Back HLT. The son rode his one more than the daughter...kinda obvious. Well then until last year the dad was unpacking and pulled these two out of his loft after 30+ years. Advertised them as the son and daughter did not want them. Even a cycle shop turned the bikes away (little did they know these bikes hold some value). The bikes got listed on Gumtree and someone bought it. I wanted them as this owner didnt seem to be too passionate about them. I had what he wanted and he did the trade. And the rest is history and these bikes are in good hands now :)

Well here are the pictures of the daughter's one. Its the one that is untouched with the original Diamond back branded tyres.

So I need to thin out on some of my bikes / parts.

I built this one to sell. If anyone is interested, its lifted in the classifieds.

Its a 1982 Patterson Pro. As far as i know, this is the only one in South Africa (I imported the frame myself). The other Pattersons which have surfaced over the years are the later model (made by GT).

Well here are the pictures of the bike.

Hi all,

We need all the help we can find to win a competition myself and my wife entered for our wedding.

Although it might not be entirely cycling related, however there is a bit of BMX displayed in our wedding photos which is also entered.

If admin does not approve of this I will understand.

Below is the translated version of the story my wife wrote for those who would like to read.

The excitement was evident at my parents’ house as myself; my parents, brothers; sister in laws; bridesmaid, 6 beautiful flower girls and 1 handsome ring bearer got ready on the morning of our wedding. We popped champagne and wedding fever had hit us hard. We rushed to the church as I was adamant that I did not want to arrive late. My fondest memory from our big day is definitely the moment I walked down the aisle in church and saw my now Husband, Ashley waiting at the alter for me. I literally couldn't take my eyes off of him as I was walking towards him. The closer I got to him the more excited I got. I couldn't believe that this moment had arrived. I was so happy that I started shedding tears. Our wedding was held at the breathtakingly beautiful venue Landtscap in Stellenbosch. All our flowers were white and we kept our décor minimal and simple as the venue in itself was beautiful. My maiden surname is Braaf and I must say that I lived up to my surname on our wedding day. While taking our couple shoot, I suggested that we climbed up the roof of the venue in my wedding dress.. I had to literally pull myself up in my 6 layered wedding  dress for these photos on the roof. Another example of my bravery is that, my husband is an avid BMX bicycle enthusiast and so of course we had to take a photo with us riding our bikes. Our wedding day is a day that I will always cherish and look back onto with fond memories.

Just a pic for some attention from our entry:

Thanks in advance to all!
