Gerald, I presume this years race results will be included on the PedalPower seeding index?

How does that work by the way, do you guys hand over the results and PPA assign BETA values and such in order to formulate the seeding?

I have no idea how they get the results - they have the last 3 years. After they've finished with the Fun Ride World Champs, I'll get in touch with them.

Edit: 3 years, not 2

Cool thanks.

One day I'd still love to know how they assign beta values to races... Apparently this years 102km hill filled Berge en Dale was easier than the pancake flat 96km Fast One... I honestly think that someone with with a grade 7 education just sucks the beta values out of thin air.

Anyhow, back on topic. Great race last weekend!

If anybody in VA's ever see a guy riding there with white Sasol kit... get away from him!! This is the second time that I see this guy riding like a tjop.

First time was at The Fast One race where he almost took out one of my team members and i went a spoke to hime to rather ride on the side or the back of the bunch if he doesn't have any bunch riding skills, so he moved.

This time at this great event, which i was soooo looking forward to, he was there again, and again bobbing and weaving all over the place! He dashed in right in front of me at one point and connected my front wheel.... and down we went taking a few guys with us.

I wanted to smack this oke so hard....

Body is healing but my bike is screwed!

Just look out for this guy in races to come. No skills to be riding in the racing groups

Gerald, the event was supurb... and hopefully next year i can at least finish [emoji106]

Sorry to hear about your crash. Don't suppose you saw his race/frame number?

Yes a bit late.

Almost every little bunch we past cheered you on by your real name.

I gave the feedback to the guys doing the printing... was a unique feature that I've only seen at the Amashova.

I'll concede this wasn't our novel idea

Maybe next time have an option to display a nickname on the race number instead of your Full Name.

Sorry to hear bud. If its any consolation when we came passed the crash site on the second loop he was still on the side of the road holding his shoulder, so I don't think he finished either. I was towards the back when the crash happened(actually most of the race  )so didn't see what went on. I rode tandem for fast one but I remember him from the carousel race. Not sure what his name is.

I really enjoyed seeing the peoples names on their numbers at the Two Oceans when I ran the 21km, we did it for fun and periodically shouting a random guys name out that was running a few guys ahead of you, really was entertaining :) "jy Piet!"

Once the contents of the Spy Tapes are released we might know who does the beta calculations, and why that person thinks the old 94.7 was easier than the new one....
