Carbon Rigid fork on a carbon 29er duel suspension bike? Can it work?

Please post a pic of it if you can, it would be interesting to see.

There is a pic here somewhere on the HUB of a gent who put a rigid fork on a Momsen Vipa. Looked bloody awful and I just couldn't understand why.

Think it might be in the "Boast" thread.

Actually a decent rigid mtb carbon fork weighs in at about 600g, so you would only lose about 900g!

Mmmm. My fork is 2.8kg. RST Fist Ai

So more like 2.2kg them!!!!!!!

Can't be......their heaviest DH fork is only 3.2Kg. It should be more like 1.8kg or so.

I think that was a Lauf fork, looks rigid but has 60mm of travel. Weights under a kg thou.

I had a DS 26er some time ago and the fork bombed out on me, so I had to lock it out.

So I rode a DS with a "rigid" fork for some time until I could fix it.

I had a lot on fun on that setup...

OK, mock away

Lekker fork for grondpad, but that fork has no rebound setting options ..... so it will be a pogo stick on rocky repeated hits.

Just one of the reviews out there.

My fox is trug(net nou gekom), so vanaand sit ek haar trug.
