Got sms from event organizers yesterday that the seeding for this event is available on their website. Can't seem to find it anywhere! anyone else know were to look?

Phone the race office on Tuesday and they ensured me that I can still register on Saturday morning. Therefore I have not yet received the "goody" bag or any other race related information.

They told me if you just doing the Sunday there is no real seeding, based on honesty seeding, so I'll be near the back.

I know they are having challenges with rain, landowners etc.

But would be lekker to have some route profiles.

Look on the bright side, it didnt rain last night in Magalies and the sun is out!

As I remember they carved about 10km off both days last year due to rain damaging/affecting route, so seems about situation normal. Lets hope the sun keeps shining otherwise Sat could be v muddy.

Done day 1! Route ended up being around 55-58kms.

The Good:

Awesome scenery

Them ladies at the bike wash ;)

Very nice t-shirt in the goodie bag

The Bad:

Route marking was very poor, got lost (badly) more then once. Close to the start, we were a bunch of about 50 riders that were like headless chickens, we ended up blazing some trails over some pretty bad terrain. Killed a number of cactus (vetplante) during this exercise. After the race the 1 rider commented that they did an extra 15kms (not sure how accurate but still).

Only 2 waterpoints (not sure if there were more, but we only came across 2), which was horrible for a race this tough. Today wasn't even that hot!

Waterpoints were also not really well stocked (very limited variety and stock)

Food after the race was seriously below par!!! Not sure if they bargained on the fact that everyone would be starving after the race and eat whatever were given to them).

Eish, not sure if I'll do this 1 again next year!

Agree 100% Nuckie and would add inability to work out a distance or an elevation gain they got both horribly wrong in race briefing. Pretty mediocre all around. Think I'm laughing off tomorrow. Somehow the threat of lasagna of the same quality as the burger is not a motivator!

After last year this was a very disappointing. Less water points with only bar one and gummy bears was a problem being a diabetic.

route was 95% the sameas last year but felt much tougher.

the "burger and chips" was absolute krap. For a well established hotel the chef needs booting in the butt.

I rest my case.....did you at least get a decent massage?

That was me, ended up doing 68 km according to strava. Road markings were terrible, myself and 7 followers ended up at tarlton raceway.

Found yesterday extremely tough, bonked badly but didn't get lost.

Today was just plain lekker for a dirt roadie like me.  Even lunch was good.

I'll be back (stronger) next year.

I did the 1 day Magailes Adventure Mini. Now thats a race that messed with my mind today,

at about 30km I was thinking about how i paid so much money to ride district roads today, then they HIT us with the climb after climb...

I enjoyed the little bits of single track, Dont really like riding district roads, The last 10km were tough.
