No, it's not fluff. It works. Period.

That's good to know.

My current coil-sprung fork just doesn't track well and has zero small bump sensitivity.

Guess that settles it: Reba it is.

X fusion is excellent value and the feel of the fork on the trail is good.

Stiffness also very good

The above based on my XFusion velvet fork

It's just a shame that the X Fusion's are so expensive.

I was quoted R 7k for the Trace RL2 and R 9.5k for the Trace Unicrown RL2

Way outside of my planned budget.

CRC has stock of the 2014 Reba RLT for about R 5k, which I'm strongly considering. It's only 100mm travel though. There are obviously more expensive models, particularly 2015 stock.

Alternatively, I've been toying with the idea of a RS Sektor Gold RL - basically budget version of the Revelation (same chassis and other bits). But that fork is 140mm and I'm afraid that the Axle-to-Crown lenght will mess with my bike's geo.

Oh, I've got a cousin in the UK who can ship me my CRC goodies, thereby avoiding taxes/duties.

Dude, just a word of advice. By doing that, you're actually paying MORE than shipping it here direct.

UK VAT is at 20%. Ours is at 14%. Essentially on a non duty item (like a fork) with a before vat value of R 1,000 you'll be paying R 1,200 before shipment if your mate ships it, versus R 1,154 before shipment if you ship it here straight from overseas...
