Still no word on where the airfield is, the thread is on page 8 now. I am Suprised the OP from the AV forum never took pictures or anything seeing how 30 riders were on the airfield.....

Scully and co. being crazy.

That is impressive, though, in my humble opinion, still a lot easier than clearing the fence with the prop and still having the balls to push the nose forward far and fast enough to scrape under the wings and fuselage, that will require precision to the microsecond as well as the micro millimeter.

I am happy to stand corrected with proof of it intentionally being done, but, I am personally not aware of it - I suspect if it has, it was by mistake and with a huge amount of luck. :)

Might this be the runway in question, a few km's south of Tarlton raceway....?

If it is and looking at the images, it does beg the question WTF would anyone want to ride there for

Oh agreed! Sort of like the aviation equivalent of Danny Macaskill's forward fence flip.

The only airfield I know of in that area is basically opposite Tarlton raceway on the R24, Davies Aircraft, they use it for microlights.

I have it on reasonably good authority... ... that "Van's International" is the scene of the crime, i may even have a picture of the owner mowing the grass

From the same avcom thread...

"Driving around Cape Point today from Kommetjie was a mission in itself.

MTN club members, riding four and five abreast.....one gentle hoot was greeted by lots of sign language in various languages.

Was not just one peleton of MTN riders, but about four lots....excellent advertising for MTN on how NOT to behave.

Unfortunately they picked on a guy towing a snoek fishing boat.....he was obviously a Vodacom subscriber as he took no nonscence and i did see a couple of road bikes doing the transition to mountain bikes.

My well behaved intellectual friend that was with me, showed me a new past time on the useage of pepper spray......as he was getting all the varied sign language, he just smiled and waved back.....we got about fifty meters in front of these well mannered cyclists, where he then emptied a can of pepper spray out of his window......the gymnastics were of Olypic standard..

So MTN cyclists, learn some road manners http://www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif"

I call bull**** on his little tale, but I'm sure his ego and balls feel that bit bigger after telling this.

In the age of everyone having a camera on their phone, if there's no pictures it didn't happen - I am inclined to agree, he had nothing better to do and tried letting out his inner artist by attempting to become an author of fiction. I won't read the sequel, there were way too many missed opportunities to make the story really unique and exciting...

A mediocre first attempt, I'd give him a 4/10 on his efforts.

Pepper spraying a whole peloton of cyclists that were not causing you any bodily harm, constitutes assault, and possibly attempted murder. If this is true, and I also smell bull****, then I would love for this chop to be taken to court to explain his behaviour.

I see this Goffel character is now boasting that he sprayed cyclist with pepper spray.

If this is true I would like to get in touch with the cyclists that were sprayed. I'll be happy to help them track this crunt down.
