I can get a new Giant Contact switch from my Lbs for R2500 or order the one I really want , a KS Lev Integra from Jenson usa for R3500 ( + tax , duties , etc) unfortunately I can't get the ks locally as there is no stock and I'd like to have the post before Karkloof enduro. What would you do? And has any one ordered from Jenson usa ? Or should I just Wait till the Ks is available locally and hope the price is ok....
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I'd go for the Giant. It's proven, and can be switched to be stealth. For that price, it's damn hard to beat. Integra would be about R 4,200 once it lands.

Goes up, goes down, can be stealth or not depending on how you're feeling, doesn't need fiddling with and has never jammed or sunken, has been zero maintenance since I put it in and at R2500 it's a no brainer.

s14phoenix Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 The Giant dropper works. Some of the older ones where not so great but the newer one with the stealth option is definitely the way to go... I actually want to get another one because mine is the older kind and cannot be made stealth.

Alouette3 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Yip, no problems with the Giant post. I replace the cable and outer once a year or so, and clean out any sand and gunk from the inside at the same time. Still the original version.

Didn't realise you had to bum plant the thing down as you were riding along. Took it back to the shop and look a proper chop as the guy explained with a mix of contempt and wanting to burst out laughing.

popcorn_skollie Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 i have a giant dropper. its awesome. if they would only make it in more sizes, they would make a killing in the dropper market. i get that its 'intented' for use with their own bikes. but surely they know people are using it on other frames with the same post diamtre. it just seems silly not to branch out into other post diamtres too. just seems like a bad business decision to me.
