Bike Storage

My 2 cents.

Bend up 'S' shaped hooks +/- 300mm long to hang bikes by the wheels from the roof trusses.

Hanging the bikes back to front will save even more space.

You will be able to hang bikes on both sides of your garage.

And two friends have to of the 4 bike ones each and they work great, just rather raw-bolt them into the wall.

You have rafters so just buy those cheap plastic hooks from builders, one under the stem and the seat hooks in the other. I stored my bikes like that for years, just moved so building a new garage and then I will do the same thing again.

They are around R20 for 2.

How far from the wall does the rack need to be for your TT machine? is 300mm enough?

I see a HUGE problem - bike room is too small by far....

I can introduce you to a good architect.... :)

I again thought the problem was that all those MTB's are clean!

Problem is not that they are clean, it's that there are none that are a work in progres.... Talking about clean bikes - just dropped by complete cyclist to test ride a bike (arrived by suitably used bike) and they swapped my pedals to the test bike - but when they gave my own bike back at the end of the test ride - the mech apologised for washing it... clearly his level of OCD exceeds my own... (wait.... mine is limited to hand washing...) :) :)

They are all new. Part of our new 'fleet' for our 2015 tours. [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji605]

It doesn’t the wheel hooks come out at an angle. Hard to see in the pic.
