mrbaker Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Was very keen to watch this video- then saw the reckless disregard for other traffic and red robots...These guys are no doubt good, maybe even great riders- but considering the amount of bitching we do when a cyclist is hit by a car I don't see how we can support this.These guys can only be causing more animosity towards us from other road users... Just my opinion, so please flame away if you want to...

(PS: like stated and claimed before on the Hub......edited video footage like this clip make it seems more awesome than it really is. The only hustle taking place is making us believe the video is a true portrayal of what really happened during the "event").

Personally I love the hustle, brilliant communication between the riders, you can hear them shout watch left in the video, traffic lights gets blocked off when/if its safe, if its not you stop. Weaving between the traffic aka lane splitting gets done by motorcycles and taxis too. The riders shown here are the top race snakes, the slower paced guys follow the same rulles as the CM

Now that you mention it, I can't remember the last time someone died in a taxi or motorcycle accident.

Thug Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 The Hustle is not for everyone. A brutal and tough ride through the streets of Jozi. Held once a month on the 1st Thursday. Distance is approx 25k's and winning time between 42 - 44 minutes.
