There has also been mention of someone having a court case in another thread but I don't know anything about that incident. Do you personally know of anyone who has been fined. (Not I know of someone - not hearsay)

DJR Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 It is SANParks' prerogative to allow cyclists into Tokai at hours determined by them. If they choose to allow riders with Activity Cards in "before" office hours, and day permit riders only during "office hours", then that is shitty I agree, but it is still a decision they can make and enforce. Legally! Ranting about it is all well and fine, but to call them names will not solve the problem. Engaging them through Tokai MTB might take time, but it is our best bet to get change. Pissing them off will just get us a "no riding before 7am" notice and a locked gate!

Consider this a "bump"

I've received a nomination mail so we're off. My moan below is not directed at you personally. Seriously tho. And I hate to sound like I'm whingeing but it would be rad if the activity generated on the hub and facebook around Tokai actually translated into support at the meetings and build days. It always seems to be the same 20-30 faces that show up and want to have their voices heard. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could get 1000 riders to show up at our AGM? Wouldn't it be rad if we could show Sanparks we're a cohesive group instead of the usual 20-30 die hards? A few weeks ago there was a guy calling for mass action/protest rides at Tokia. Is he going to be at the meeting? Is the OP from this thread going to be there?
